在古代,无论中国还是外国,都有人在不断地研究炼金术,企图利用廉价的材料炼制出黄澄澄的金子来。现代科学表明炼金术仅仅是在化学层面上来操作,通过化合和分解来改变分子,而无法改变原子的属性,因此炼金术是必然会失败的。要想由其他物质来产生金子,必须通过裂变反应或聚变反应这样的核反应才有可能。但是这种核反应方法的成本极高,产生的金子价值远远低于所要使用的器材、原料、能量所需的费用,是绝对赔本的买卖。而自然界的金子则是在宇宙这个“炼金炉”中炼制出来的。
