Since the first translation of Faulkner’s novels in the early 1930s, domestic readers have come to a close with Faulkner. In the past hundred years, Faulkner’s novels have been constantly translated and repeatedly interpreted, but readers of different ages have very different understandings. They have regarded Faulkner as a pessimistic realist writer, an anti-war anti-imperialist political progressive writer and a school of consciousness On behalf of writers, realist writers writing modern times, modernist writers, and even think that Faulkner novels with postmodernism. This change not only reflects the historical transformation of Chinese historical context and literary concepts, but also shows that the classic text contains rich spiritual resources.
