Although Mercury poisoning has been recognized since Ramazzini’s report on mercury poisoning in seventy-three, it is not uncommon for work-related injuries caused by inhalation of mercury vapor and toxic pneumonitis. This article reports an accident that occurred when four workers repaired the condenser of a power plant. After the accident, the author made a series of physiological and poisons measurements. At three o’clock on the afternoon of October 12, 1974, the mercury spills out of pressure gauge and gasifies before entering the low-pressure condenser where the workers work.
