A brief report was made on a fossilized pteridophyte of fern as vegetative organs and reproductive organs preserved in the Jurassic Chizhouji group in Changgao Township, Beipiao, Liaoning Province. The specimen was a columnar body about 50cm in diameter and 35 ~ 41cm in diameter, The rhizome, the nutrition pinnacle and the reproductive pinnacle and the in situ spore and other organs.Based on the observation of the stem section, the fossil should be Ashicaulis, the root-fossil of the genus Asteraceae. At the world, especially in western Liaoning and the surrounding areas Of the Mesozoic strata have output, but at the same time save the rhizomes, nutrition pinnacle, reproductive pinnules and in situ spores of Aster fossils have not been reported so far. This save a relatively complete fossil right recovery to the history of the period The general appearance of aster plants provides a significant and reliable fossil basis for a comprehensive study on the biological properties, morphological evolution, and paleoenvironmental changes of these plants.
