At the RIBA 2005 celebration at the Royal Institute of British Architects in Yorkshire, the University of Sheffield's Student Health Center received two awards in 2005, with a focus on natural daylighting and natural ventilation, and the use of low CO 2 -environmentally friendly Components and decorative materials. This paper elaborates the development and implementation of its low-emission design strategy from the perspective of architectural design, and evaluates whether the initial design goal is achieved through post-use research and whether the actual usage meets the expected design requirements. The evaluation includes monitoring indoor physical conditions in some rooms, Understand user response and window ventilation strategies implemented. The evaluation was supported by the simulation tool of the computer virtual environment, and the multi-program comparison was made between the status quo and other conditions outside the status quo in order to provide a new solution to the existing problems. Monitoring and surveys show that there are indeed some problems in the design and actual use of the building. Based on the computer simulation and the status quo monitoring survey, this paper presents the user with suggestions of improved natural lighting and natural ventilation.
