The author has calculated the calculation of the structural stiffness of box-shaped dock doors with relatively large cross-sections in the article “Calculating the Overall Bending Stress of Double-Decked Dock Door Structures Using the Minimum Work Principle” published in Hong Kong Technical Correspondence, Issue 2, 1979. In order to simplify the formula derivation, two assumptions are made: 1. The overall bending deformation does not occur in the transverse direction of the dock, but only slight rotation occurs around the fulcrum. 2. The strain energy absorbed by the tiny rotation of the dock door is ignored. The deformation law of the dock door after stress, but, due to the assumption (2), the calculation result may be biased
