The new type of rural cooperative medical care (hereinafter referred to as the new rural cooperative medical system) is organized, guided, and supported by the government. Farmers participate voluntarily, individuals, village groups, and governments raise funds from various sources. My county is a major agricultural county, and the agricultural population accounts for 83.99% of the total population. My county started the pilot work of the new rural cooperative medical system in 2005. This article discusses the achievements and deficiencies of the work in the past two years and is the next step.
