传统的英语写作教学严格遵守课程或教学大纲,课堂活动围绕课本内容展开,英语教师满堂灌的教学模式严重打击了学生的写作积极性,从而导致学生的写作能力欠缺。在教学实验中,在对照班采用传统的教学方式,而实验班采用基于美国当代英语语料库(COCA)的数据驱动模式,通过为期一学期的实验,实验班的写作成绩有了比较明显的提高。从实验结果可以看出,数据驱动学习以学习者自身需求为导向,鼓励学习者自主学习,自我探索和自我发现,自下而上地归纳式学习,从而提高学生的写作兴趣,促进写作能力的提高。
The traditional teaching of English writing strictly abide by the curriculum or syllabus, classroom activities around the contents of textbooks, English teachers full of irrigation teaching model has severely hit students’ writing enthusiasm, resulting in lack of writing skills of students. In the teaching experiment, the traditional teaching method was used in the control class, while the experimental class adopted the data driven mode based on the American Contemporary English Corpus (COCA). Through the one-semester experiment, the experimental class writing performance has been significantly improved. From the experimental results, it can be seen that data-driven learning is based on learners ’own needs, encourages learners to learn by themselves, self-exploration and self-discovery, inductive learning from bottom to top, thereby enhancing students’ writing interest and writing ability improve.
