现代月季多数为不同类型及品种之间反复杂交育成的,无论是自花还是异花授粉,通过基因重组,出现新类型的机率都很大。其中自然杂交早已被人们用来作为培育月季新品种的一个重要手段。切花月季新品种“傲雪”,即是我们从“圣诞积雪”的自然杂交后代中选育出的佼佼者。一、选育经过 1989年底,我们从本所月季母本园中采集到一批自然杂交种子,经砂藏越冬,于1990年春播种,得到实生苗272株。分别盆栽观察,发现“圣诞积雪”自然杂交后代中有一株花枝挺拔而长,光滑近乎无刺,花朵较母本小而紧凑,花色变得洁白,花瓣质厚耐开。根据上述特性,我们认为此花非常适宜作切花。1991年将这株花移入大盆栽培,并施足底肥,作为原始母本重点观察,同时采用嫁接和扦插法进行小批量繁殖,详细观察后代多种性状表现,并与母本进行比较。经两年观察,其后代性状表现与母本一致,十分稳定。1993~1994年我们
Most of the modern rose for different types and breeds repeatedly cross-breeding, both self-pollinated or cross-pollination, through gene recombination, there is a great chance of a new type.
