This paper presents an experimental report on the effects of two over-simulated picking on the development and senescence of white clover. Stolons growing in green house boxes were picked repeatedly by hand to simulate the different intensities of successive shepherds. In both cases, the experiment continued until the stolons grew 11 leaves. The yield of leaf dry matter was found to be proportional to the amount of remaining leaves on the stem. The reduction of the remaining leaves from two to one resulted in about a 25% reduction in production of the branches and an increase in the dead stem from 33% to 44%, while the production of the branches decreased by 40% without leaving fully expanded leaves on the stem leaving behind Two leaves less decline. Stolons grown on the grass over shepherd, usually can leave a green leaf, the growth point in the 0 to 2 between the changes. This experiment discusses the results of retaining different leaf volumes within this range.
