科技档案鉴定工作的内容,就是依据科技文件材料在归档时所确定的保管期限,到期进行鉴定审查,以确定其有无继续使用价值,是否要继续保存。科技文件材料在归档时也要进行价值鉴定,以便确定应否归档和划定保管期限。从价值鉴定的角度看,两种鉴定工作的性质和怍用是相同的,但这两种鉴定工作是在不同的阶段进行的:一是主要由科技人员负责进行,以决定科技文件材料要否归档;一是主要应由档案部门来负责组织鉴定,以决定科技档案是否继续保存。
