序土谢图汗部卓里克图扎萨克多罗郡王桑寨多尔济,乃清廷任命的第一任库伦办事大臣(18世纪中叶后设于库伦,满、蒙各一人),在当时清统治喀尔喀中发挥了重要作用。关于此人,向无专论。人们认为池是清朝有才干的官吏;也有一部著作说他对清的统治采取抵制态度,关于他个人的立场问题仍存若干疑问。既然他在乾隆中期清对喀尔喀的统治中处于重要地位,那么究明他所起的作用就是不能回避的问题了。本文拟探讨他的历史作用及当时清统治喀尔喀的特点。
