在抽象主义绘画中,康定斯基和蒙德里安是两个最为重要的代表人物。康定斯基执著于表现内在的冲动,而蒙德里安痴迷于理智的思考,结果导致了两种面貌迥然不同的抽象绘画——热抽象和冷抽象。表面上看,二人艺术发展的生命线似乎背道而驰,但是事实上,两人却能够始终共同引领抽象主义绘画向前发展而并行不悖。
In abstract painting, Kandinsky and Mondrian are the two most important representatives. Kandinsky obsessed with the impulse to manifest the inherent, and Mondrian obsessed with rational thinking, the result led to two very different abstract paintings - the hot abstract and cold abstract. On the surface, the lifelines of the artistic development of the two seem to run counter to one another, but in fact the two have been able to consistently lead abstractionist paintings to go hand in hand.
