沈泊尘(1889-1920,一作沈伯尘),原名沈学明,浙江桐乡人。从小“颖慧好绘事”。青年时因多病未受充分教育,但他常常面对山水草木、花鸟鱼虫“穷力摹拟”。十八岁在杭州去学就商,二十一岁到上海一家绸布庄当店员。由于喜爱美术,他不久即弃商而一志于画。他曾向画家潘雅声学习中国传统绘画,既能画简笔写意画,也能画工笔线描,如《红楼梦图》、《新新百美图》等作品,都是颇有社会影响的。尤其是他的戏剧人物画,寥寥数笔,神情毕现,在当时颇负盛名。
Shen dust (1889-1920, a Shen Bo dust), formerly known as Shen Xueming, Tongxiang, Zhejiang. Especially his dramatic portraits, a few pen, look clear, quite prestigious at the time.
