一、前言本文对现有的、可重新组合的并行处理系统中的各种网络的互连方法作一论述。将要研究的系统包括多个单指令流-多数据流(MSIMD)系统和多指令流-多数据流系统(MIMD),并且两者又都可以是固定字长和动态可变字长的系统。本文将只讨论在地理位置上放在一起的并行处理系统的互连网络,且在该系统中包含有12个或更多个可重新组合的处理器。下一节将定义某些用来描述和评价网络的参数。往后几节则讨论互连网络。网络的结构分为多级开关网络、专用通路网络和共享通路网络。
I. Preface This article discusses the interconnection methods for various networks in existing, reconfigurable parallel processing systems. Systems to be studied include a number of single instruction flow-multiple data flow (MSIMD) systems and multiple instruction flow-multiple data flow systems (MIMDs), both of which may be fixed word length and dynamically variable word length systems. This article will discuss only the interconnected networks of geographically placed parallel processing systems that include 12 or more regroupable processors. The next section will define some of the parameters used to describe and evaluate the network. The next few sections discuss the interconnection network. The structure of the network is divided into multi-level switch network, dedicated access network and shared access network.
