Retinal microcirculation disorders, such as arteriolar stenosis, arteriovenous cross, retinal diseases, etc., can reflect the cumulative damage to blood vessels such as blood lipids, blood pressure, and age. Through the fundus examination, including the examination of the blood vessels in the eye, can detect the occurrence and development of cardiovascular disease. Retinal microcirculation lesions not only reflect the severity of hypertension, but also with the degree of target organ damage and prognosis are closely related. Retinal blood vessels as a window to evaluate coronary microcirculation, coronary heart disease diagnosis and prognosis has a very important clinical value. Other cardiovascular diseases, such as heart failure, cardiomyopathy, have also been shown to correlate with retinal microangiopathy. Therefore, if the retinal microcirculation disorder can be accurately assessed, it may be a new indicator of risk stratification of cardiovascular disease.
