鈕先銘(1912—1996)出生於名門世家,少年時代赴日留學,1931年畢業於日本陸軍士官學校(第22期生)。九一八事變後回國從軍,後轉赴南京任炮兵學校教官,之後又赴法國軍校留學。1937年七七事變後回國參加抗戰,12月日軍進攻南京時,以工兵團營長兼團附身份負責光華門的守衛。兵敗撤退時鈕先銘不幸掉入長江,奮力上岸後流落至南京郊外的永清寺,在僧侣的幫助下假扮和尚得以逃脱日軍追捕的魔爪。先銘在永清寺居住了數月之後,又隨住持移居城内的雞鳴寺,最後在僧侣的幫助下逃出南京
Born in 1951-1996, Renowned as a family member, Niu Xianming (1912-1996) studied in Japan in his youth and graduated from Japan’s Army Officer School (No. 22) in 1931. After the September 18 Incident, he returned to the army and then went to Nanjing to serve as an artillery school instructor before going to the French military school. After the incident of 1937, 1937, he returned to China to participate in the war of resistance against Japan. In December, when the Japanese troops attacked Nanjing, they guarded the Guanghua Gate with their battalion commander and the regiment.
