广电网络进行双向改造主要技术方式有CableModem和EPON两种,目前关于两种方式的讨论很多,焦点集中在系统技术指标、网络建设成本、未来发展趋势等方面。主要观点是EPON方式有1.25Gbps上下行对称带宽,CableModem方式下行带宽只有38Mbps,上行带宽只有5Mbps,所以说EPON方式带宽远高于CableModem方式。
There are two main technical methods of radio and television network transformation: CableModem and EPON. There are many discussions on the two methods at present, with the focus on system technical indicators, network construction costs and future development trends. The main point of view is that EPON mode has 1.25Gbps uplink and downlink symmetric bandwidth, CableModem downlink bandwidth is only 38Mbps, uplink bandwidth is only 5Mbps, so the bandwidth of EPON is much higher than that of CableModem.
