汶川地震,举国哀痛。全国人民踊跃捐助,支持灾区重建家园。北京,中国写实画派紧急集合于时代美术馆,二十几位画家要在第一时间集体创作一幅反映全国人民抗震救灾的大型油画《热血五月·2008》。并参加义拍、义展,所得款项全部捐给灾区。这不仅成为美术界“心系灾区献爱心”的一个亮点;同时,此举也重新诠释了:“艺术的社会功能是什么?国难时刻,艺术家应该如何承担起自己的社会责任?”这一深刻命题。
Wenchuan earthquake, nationwide sorrow. The people of the whole country enthusiastically contribute to the reconstruction of their homeland in the disaster areas. Beijing and China’s realistic painting schools are urgently assembled in the Museum of Contemporary Art.
