早在1890年美国就制造出了玻璃瓶灌装机。1912年又发明了皇冠盖压盖机,接着制造出了集灌装和压盖于一体的灌装压盖机组。在20世纪初德国也制造出了手动灌装机和压盖机。可以说,饮料设备是伴随着饮料工业的产生而产生,并且伴随着饮料工业的发展而发展的。目前,玻璃瓶果汁饮料生产线技术水平较高的国家有德国、美国、意大利和瑞典等。亚洲的日本虽起步较晚,但发展很快,在国际市场也占有一定地位。
