中科院生态环境中心汪海林研究组在5-羟甲基胞嘧啶(5hmC)分析方面取得重要进展,提出了对该物质进行分析的新方法。相关成果近日发表于《核酸研究》(Nucleic Acids Research)。据了解,5hmC是科学家发现的第六种碱基,已在多种哺乳动物组织和细胞中检出。另外,多种肿瘤中5hmC水平偏低,使其有可能成为肿瘤早期诊断的生物标志物。目前,基因水平5hmC的分析依赖于限制性内切酶方法,而相关方法受到酶切位点限制,并且难以区分多5hmC位点的序列。
Wang Hailin, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, made significant progress in the 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) analysis and proposed a new method for the analysis of this substance. Related results recently published in “Nucleic Acids Research” (Nucleic Acids Research). It is understood that 5hmC is the sixth base discovered by scientists and has been detected in many mammalian tissues and cells. In addition, the low level of 5hmC in many tumors makes it potentially a biomarker for the early diagnosis of tumors. At present, the analysis of gene level 5hmC relies on the restriction enzyme method, and related methods are limited by restriction sites and it is difficult to distinguish the sequences of multiple 5hmC sites.
