对广西贺州市初中英语教师的基本情况、工作、生活、培训、专业水平现状作了一个具有代表性的抽样调查,结果发现:教师学历与能力不成正比;教师工作负担重,培训机会少;教师的英语教育理论、科研能力、跨文化知识、英语交际能力比较薄弱。鉴于此,建议英语教师应主动地去发展自己,教育主管部门应建立科学有效的教师专业发展环境。
A survey was made on the basic situation, work, life, training and professional level of junior high school English teachers in Hezhou City, Guangxi Province. The results showed that teachers ’academic qualifications were not directly proportional to their abilities; teachers’ work burden was heavy and training opportunities were few; teachers The English education theory, research ability, cross-cultural knowledge, English communication ability is relatively weak. In view of this, it is suggested that English teachers should take the initiative to develop themselves, the education authorities should establish a scientific and effective professional development environment for teachers.
