将坯料1加热到600~800℃放入凹模2内,随着凸模3的下降,坯料向下挤压(如图a)。由于凸模3的一端做成阶梯形,在挤压成型时,一端阶梯与大头交界部分形成时没有压实,坯料3沿反方向流动,在上部产生空隙部分a、b。与此同时,前端的部分材料和凸模3的加压面5相碰。当凸模3继续下降,在压面5的作用下,使坯料上端的一部分材料返回充满a、b部分;另一部分材料流到凸模和凹模的问隙槽4内,形成脊缝毛边6。工件在半密闭模具内加工完毕
