Earthquake activity in the world map, the entire Arabian Peninsula is often no earthquake, reflecting the apparent in the 20th century, especially since the Seventies of this century since the improvement of the world’s seismic network, the region was clearly no earthquake. Few earthquakes in southwestern Arabia have drawn the attention outside the region, which has affected the coverage of these earthquakes in regional earthquake catalogs. This paper shows that, on the contrary, regional historical data show that, over the past 12 centuries, devastating earthquakes of moderate magnitude have been constantly occurring, including the devastating earthquake of 1941, which in many ways is consistent with the December 1982 earthquake similar. The general inference about the low seismicity of the Arabian Peninsula is incorrect.
