抗菌药物是临床应用最广泛的药物之一，其临床应用涉及到每一个科室和医生。抗菌药物使用频率非常高，在中国所有临床应用药品中，抗均药物所占比率为35％～50％，迄今为止临床常用抗菌药物有100多种，十几个大类别，现将抗菌药物按类别特点加以介绍，以便临床加以借鉴。
