“84177” is a late indica glutinous new variety bred in Rice Research Institute of Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In 1985, it was rated as high quality glutinous rice in Hunan Province. It was approved by Hunan Crop Variety Approval Committee on December 24, 1989, Production promotion and application. I.
