人类能感知的温度很有限.一般人觉得不冷不热的水的温度大约是37℃,觉得很烫的水的温度是60℃以上.人体温度的变化一般不会低于35℃,也不会高于42℃,正常体温是37℃.人体觉得最舒适的环境温度为20~28℃,而对人体健康最理想的温度是18℃左右.平时饮水、饮食、漱口的最佳温度是35~38℃,这样对口腔、牙齿刺激最小.洗澡时水的最佳温度是34~36℃.洗头水的最佳温度为50~60℃.洗脸水的最佳温度:夏季为8~20℃,冬季为30~50℃.洗脚水的最佳温度为45~60℃.
