“中华老字号”是历史悠久的优秀品牌。本文以信息性、可接受性等语篇特征标准为基础,分析湖北省“中华老字号”的英译策略,阐释“中华老字号”的命名缘由及文化内涵,探讨新译名的命名原则及命名模式。“中华老字号”的英译,应注重信息性以及是否明确传递标识性信息及类别性信息等问题。“中华老字号”的英译还应注重译名的可接受性,关注受众的价值观、审美心理、接受习惯等,使英译名易于接受和传播。
