在中学生物课教学的过程中,直观教具的运用是很重要的。因为生物的种类繁多,研究起来很是复杂,要使学生能透彻地了解教材,必须通过配合实物、标本、模型和挂图来讲解或演示,才能使学生得到显明的系统的深刻的知识。但是在课堂上运用这些直观教具时,存在着一定的困难。因为动植物的实物有的太大或太小,有些稀少罕见的在当地又找不到,不可能使学生都能看到;标本虽然能代替实物,但在教学时,又不能使学生都看清楚,若是逐一地让每个人轮流观察,又要分散学生的注意力,同时课堂秩序也不易维持,往往减低教学效果。模型虽比标本鲜明清楚,但一时要使每人都能看清,也是不可能的。挂图虽然
