Today, about one billion passenger cars are on the roads around the world, and transportation accounts for 28% of the world’s total energy consumption. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), this figure will rise to 2 billion by 2040. Therefore, it is important to reduce pollutant emissions by improving vehicle energy efficiency. Cleaner and lower-carbon fuel-efficient vehicles are the goal people are pursuing. People imagine and explore: what the future of the vehicle will look like and what fuel will be used to drive it? March 16 to 19, the annual Shell Car Environmental Marathon Asia held in Singapore. This year, 123 college student teams from 20 countries competed against each other to see who can “run the furthest with the least fuel.”
