Alice Murdoch (1919-1999) is one of the most influential female writers in Britain. “Under the net” is her debut, but also her fame. Since its publication, this work has drawn wide attention from critics. Her novel world is full of literary or philosophical thoughts such as richness, realism, existentialism, mysticism, psychoanalytic theory and neo-Platonism. Schools of genres are all more or less found in her works. Therefore, Murdoch’s novels are eclectic in his writing style and style, and the theme of his works often implies her own philosophy and worldview.
