近几年来中国的海外游客数量在稳步增加,但由于旅游从业者从整体上缺乏较好的跨文化交际能力,无法给外国游客提供高质量的旅游服务。笔者通过研究调查连续数年执教的湖北汽车工业学院旅游管理专业班学生,发现高校旅游英语课堂教学中“文化”缺失是问题产生的重要原因,同时提出要解决这一问题需要将文化因素融入高校旅游英语教学以及该方法带来的意义。希望对旅游英语课程的改革与发展带来一定的积极意义。
In recent years, the number of overseas tourists in China has steadily increased, but due to the lack of good intercultural communication skills as a whole, tourism practitioners can not provide foreign tourists with high-quality tourism services. Through the research and investigation of consecutive years of professional tourism management students in Hubei Automotive Industry Institute, I found that the lack of “culture ” in the teaching of tourism English in colleges and universities is an important cause of the problem. It is hoped that it will bring some positive meaning to the reform and development of tourism English course.
