黑龙江东北地区属于我国北方马铃薯一季作地区,范围较大,该地区包括佳木斯、鹤岗、伊春、牡丹江、鸡西、双鸭山、七台河、黑龙江农垦总局等地,是黑龙江的重要粮食产区,其马铃薯也是该地区的主要作物。这一地区的特点是地处高寒、纬度较高,气候温凉,无霜期在130d,年平均温度在10℃以内,年降雨量约在600mm,有效积温在2500℃,属长日照、昼夜温差大,大部分地区土壤肥沃,适合马铃薯的生育。
