德意志民主共和国的莱比锡国际博览会今年的秋季展出已于8月31日开幕。德国大诗人歌德当年曾经说过:“这样的一个博览会,是真正把世界集中到一个核桃上了!”这当然是诗人的艺术夸张,但是从一定意义上说,确实也可以通过这个博览会看见整个世界。现在,世界上各种国际博览会象雨后春笋般地不断涌现,有综合的,也有专业的。其中规模大、历史久的有十几个,如始于1904年的巴黎博览会,始于1920年的米兰博览会,而莱比锡博览会从它的雏形算起,迄今已有815年的历史,其间基本上没有中断过,这确是与众不同的。现在它每年举行两次,时间一般是从3月上旬和9月上旬的某一个星期日开始,到下星期日结束,每次历时八天。
This autumn’s exhibition of the Leipzig International Fair in the German Democratic Republic opened on August 31. Now, the world’s various international fairs have mushroomed constantly emerging, there is a comprehensive, there are professional.
