【Background】 The finless porpoise is listed as a national second-class protected animal. Due to illegal fishing, water pollution, dredging and shipping, the finless porpoise, whose seeming smile is always smiling, is rapidly decreasing. In the recent 20 years, the number of the finless porpoise in the Yangtze River valley plunged from nearly 3,000 to about 1,000, even less than the number of “national treasure” giant pandas. At present, less than one hundred porpoises in the Dongting Lake are on the verge of extinction. Time display is 8 am. Fishermen He Daming, Fan Qin expensive, Jiang Keming, Li Jinsong, in Yueyang Tower near the pier rendezvous. Their aim is not to fish out of the lake, but to patrol the water, observe and rescue the finless porpoise. Chest blue badge revealed another identity outside of their fishermen: Yueyang City, finless porpoise Protection Association. All efforts by this civil protection force point to one goal - “Keep the finless porpoise smile ”.
