In the eyes of some, Stephen Checars is at best a mere dinosaur hobbyist. There was no graduation diploma on the walls of his home, nor did he find a series of titles behind his name. But among his colleagues who have a Ph.D. title, he has come out of his own way. Some people say that he is unconventional, while others say he dared to innovate. The earliest paleontologists were only those who collected and excavated bones and fossils, all they had was iron milling and patience. This is a tiring and dirty job. However, these people who rely on the concept of inspection, the paleontology step by step. Decades have passed and fossil explorers who do their jobs are replaced by naturalists, biologists and paleontologists. The choice of research projects and excavation sites requires degree holders, and just those who love the “old bones” are no longer qualified. Those who are not educated like Checcas have become the “legacy of the old”.
