新闻界关于新闻与宣传的讨论,曾经热闹了一阵子,现在虽然还没有得出完全一致的结论,但对新闻具有宣传功能这一点,是很少有人持异议的了。看来,这里要着重解决的问题,已不是新闻应不应宣传,而是如何才能宣传得好。恰恰在这个问题上,新闻界花的力气似乎不多,新闻宣传效果欠佳的根源恐怕也就在这里。新闻应该宣传,但又要不露出宣传的痕迹,力求符合新闻工作的规律,于是有人提出克服“宣传腔”的问题,我认为这个问题提得好。说我们的新闻中有“宣传腔”,国外读者反映
The media’s discussion of press and publicity was a lively one for a while. Although there is no conclusive conclusion yet, it is seldom dissenting that publicity should be given to news. It seems that the problem to be solved here is not whether news should not be advertised but how it can be advertised. It is precisely on this issue that the press does not seem to have much strength and probably the root cause of the poor news propaganda. The news should be publicized but the signs of publicity should be kept out of line with the laws governing journalism. Therefore, some people have raised the issue of overcoming the “propaganda chamber.” I think this is a good question.
