在最近十几年来,随着海外电视剧的不断引进,中国观众逐渐被吸引和影响,这要归功于现代科技中信息传播的飞速发展以及全球化的程度愈加深远。无论是一直有大批忠实观众的韩美剧还是有黑马之势的英剧,每次在中国的热播都能成为现象级的热议话题。本文将从跨文化传播的层面来具体分析后起之秀英剧作为英国电视文化产业发展的重要组成部分是如何在中国成功输出的。以下主要分为四个部分来分别介绍,简要概述英剧在中国的大体传播历程,爱德华?霍尔提出的跨文化传播中高低语境在英剧传播中的体现,还有英剧成功在华传播的几大要素,最后是从文化循环角度分析在编码、解码、解读过程中的理论依据和在英剧传播中的应用。兼容并包、去粗取精,虽说电视剧只是传播媒介的一小部分但是以小见大,我们也可以借鉴这些丰富的经验。
