目前,在我国农村卫生机构中有卫生人员一百二十七万九千余人,其中乡村医生占四十余万。他们同农村卫生员走村串户,积极开展防病治病、妇幼保健、计划生育工作,是八亿农民健康的坚强卫士。乡村医生队伍是我国卫生事业区别于其它国家卫生工作的重要标志,得到世界卫生组织的高度的评价。
At present, there are more than 1,127,900 health workers in rural health institutions in China, including more than 400,000 rural doctors. Together with rural health workers, they took households and actively carried out disease prevention and treatment, maternal and child health care and family planning work. They are the strong guardians of the health of 800 million farmers. The team of rural doctors is an important symbol of China’s health undertakings that distinguish it from other countries’ health work and has been highly evaluated by the World Health Organization.
