编辑同志: 对于陈少英同志指出拙文《一件往事》(见第6期)中的一处重要事实错误,我深表感谢。我没有亲身参加1949年7月1日在先农坛体育场举行的庆祝中国共产党诞生28周年大会,但那天我参加了翻译《论人民民主专政》一文的紧张工作,对当时的感人情景使我多年难忘,于是趁这篇历史性文件发表40周年之际,将那段经历记录下来,自忖或可为我国新闻事业史留下点滴并非毫无意义的掌故资料。关于庆祝大会的全过程,不是拙文的主要部分,所以在执笔以前未曾向有关同志询问当时的情况,而是“想当然”地转述。我这种不严肃认真的态度,导致对重大历史事件叙述失实的后果,作为新闻工作者是深感内疚的。
Editor’s Comrade: I am very grateful to Comrade Chen Shaoying for pointing out one important factual error in his “One Past Event” (see Issue 6). I did not personally participate in the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the birth of the Chinese Communist Party held at Xianongtun Stadium on July 1, 1949. However, I participated in the intense work of translating “On the People’s Democratic Dictatorship” on that day, and made me feel for many years Memorable, so taking advantage of the 40th anniversary of the publication of this historic document will record that period of experience, self-proclaimed or left for the history of our journalism is not meaningless anecdotal data. The whole process of celebrating the General Assembly was not a major part of the text, so the relevant comrades were not asked any questions about the situation beforehand, but rather “taken for granted”. My unscrupulous attitude leads to the consequences of depreciating major historical events and is deeply guilty as a journalist.
