在我們专区大搞机床生产运动时,我厂接受了大批八呎車床的生产任务。由于干型生产周期太长,烘窑能力也不足,最初就采用潮型生产。但是潮型强度低,在起模时床身导軌部分砂型很容易損坏,修型很費工。同时,鑄件废品率高达40%,因此对車床生产任务的完成,起了很大阻碍作用。为了保証生产任务的順利完成鑄工車間王立山,王素梅两同志,在全組同志的大力协助下,经多次試驗,終于試驗成功了半永久型潮芯造型,使生产效率提高1.5~2倍,同时改善了鑄件質量,减輕了劳动强度。
