INTRODUCTION The complete loss of consciousness of pilots when flying in high G, while potentially catastrophic, is relatively uncommon. Pilots report more often: brief episodes of various kinds of attacks such as mental disorders, forgetfulness, apathy, loss of situational awareness, or weakness and twitching of their hands during actual air combat (mid) movements. These air combat movements are characterized by fast and brief Gz exposures, short-duration, low-level G, and less than 1-G flights. These seizures are the characteristics of ALOC, but not yet enough attention. This paper presents possible mechanisms for explaining these phenomena.
