本文通过对红河断裂西南地区,70年以来发生的6次M_S≥6级地震前中、小地震活动的研究,讨论了大地震前区域地震活动的异常特征,并与两次地震的预报为例,提出该区中小地震活动的异常特征可供预报本区M_S≥6级地震参考。
