深入研究岩石的σ与ε全过程线,不仅对合理设计建筑物、评价地下工程的稳定性有现实意义,且对研究岩石裂隙的发生与发展,岩石的强度(破坏)理论亦是十分重要的。过去,受测试设备和技术的限制只能测出峰值以前的区域,由于岩石力学的发展和对工程力学分析的深入,要求人们对岩石破坏机理进行研究,有限元法的进一步应用也日益要求提供岩石的应力应变全过程资料,因此,岩石的σ与ε关系曲线全过程的测定就成为一个急待解决的问题。

In the past, limited by the test equipment and technology, only the area before the peak was measured. Due to the development of rock mechanics and the analysis of engineering mechanics, people are required to study the mechanism of rock failure, and the further application of the finite element method is increasingly required to provide Rock stress and strain data of the entire process, therefore, the rock σ and ε curve of the relationship between the entire process has become an urgent problem to be solved.
