IP电话作为新的语音通信方式诞生以来,一直受到广泛关注。但是,由于IP电话自身的一些质量问题,导致人们更多地关心其低廉的资费,而不是技术本身带来的好处。其实,经过多年发展,IP电话技术也有了长足的进步,已经实用化。开源软件为IP电话在企业部署打开了一扇方便之门。IP电话开源软件Asterisk具有支持多种通信协议的功能,并可以利用相对廉价的硬件与各种现有电话设备相连,构建企业VoIP网络。
Since the birth of IP telephony as a new voice communication method, it has been widely concerned. However, due to some of the quality issues inherent in IP telephony, people are more concerned with their lower tariffs than with the technology itself. In fact, after years of development, IP telephony technology has made great strides and has been put into practical use. Open source software opens up a handy way for IP telephony in enterprise deployments. Asterisk, an open source software for IP telephony, has the capability to support multiple communication protocols and builds enterprise VoIP networks using relatively inexpensive hardware connected to a variety of existing telephony devices.
