仿膳饭庄的经理庞长红,60多岁,中等身材,一口浓浓的山西口音,言谈举止间透着一种朴实、淳厚让人感到很亲切。一请庞长红说说他最难忘、最高兴的时刻,他总是讲:“最激动人心、最难忘的就是1959年国庆十周年时举行的中国历史上最大、最隆重的国宴场面。”当新中国成立十周年之际,世界上80多个国家和地区的贵宾、知名人士应邀前来参加这一盛典,近万人的宴会光是服务员就需要1200多人。庞长红是这一千多名服务员当中的一员,重要的是组织上安排他到主宾席上为最高领导人服务。庞长红几天都睡不好觉,为了做到万无一失,他反复练习,连走路吃饭都要琢磨每一个细节,和有可能发生的问题。
