在地质研究所建所三十周年之际,回顾过去的历程,虽然坎坷曲折,但在党的领导下,通过全所人员的共同努力,取得了重大的成绩,不论在解决地质工作的重大关健性问题或在有关地质基础理论的研究方面,都有显著的建树,其中不少获得国家自然科学奖。这说明地质研究所已发展到成熟的阶段。展望未来,为祖国四化建设做出新的贡献,还需要坚持“面向”的方针,既加强应用的研究, 又要发展地质基础理论和开拓新的领域,通过横向联系,协力合作,在有关地球科学研究方面, 多出成果,多出人才。
