三倍体毛白杨是近年来开始推广栽培的速生性优良树种.它在当前的林网绿化、城市公园和小城镇绿地建设中,已经成为首选的优良品种.三倍体毛白杨由于自身生根困难,给苗木繁殖带来不便.如经药物处理和水处理等虽然也能促使自身生根,但当年生长量受到影响,往往不能长成大苗.使用“炮捻法”嫁接毛白杨是三倍体毛白杨育苗中大量采用的常规方法.总结近年来嫁接育苗的经验,为提高嫁接育苗成活率,必须严格把握几个关键因素.一、接穗和砧木的选择三倍体毛白杨的接穗要选1～2年生长旺盛的枝条,剔除生长在背阴处的阴条和病弱条.生长旺盛的枝条,基部虽然木质化程度很高,但因芽不饱满不能使用;梢部虽然芽饱满,但木质化程度不高,若髓心直径超过接穗直径的50%也不能采用.
