“竹片歌”是由盲人歌手边击竹片边唱的一种说唱性民间小调,流行于赣南客家人之中。它以丰富多姿的艺术形象和生动活泼的演唱风格,融思想性与娱乐性为一体,使听众在精神上得到享受的同时,思想上也受到很大的启发熏陶。特别是作为一种自发的民歌现象,它能以大自然中各种生物为歌唱对象,独具其珍贵的生态文化内涵,在唤起人们对自身生存环境的热爱与保护意识上,至今仍有着浓重的现实意义。
