长岛,是烟台市目前唯一对外不开放的县,是山东省唯一的海岛县。岛陆面积只有56平方公里,全县仅有10处乡镇、40个行政村,4.2万人口,其中渔民3万多人。长岛虽然是县级的“小老弟”,但奔小康却捷足先登。成为山东省第一个“小康县”,当上了全国12个海岛县的“船老大”,跃进了全国首富县的竞赛圈,率先打出了“小康县”这面新旗帜,为农村奔小康创出了希望的路子,提供了宝贵的经验。
